# In the Sacred Valley of the Incas
Das Valle Sagrado («Heiliges Tal der Inkas») ist das landwirtschaftlich bedeutendste Hochtal der Inkas. Es bezeichnet den ca. 80km langen Abschnitt am Urubamba-Fluss zwischen Pisac und Ollantaytambo, nördlich von Cuzco. Das Valle Sagrado ist nicht nur sehr fruchtbar, sondern auch landschaftlich wunderschön und besitzt zahlreiche Ruinenanlagen der Inkas und früherer Kulturen – was sehr viele ausländische Touristen anzieht.
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is the most agriculturally important high valley of the Inca Empire. It refers to the approximately 80 km long stretch along the Urubamba River between Pisac and Ollantaytambo, north of Cusco. The Sacred Valley is not only very fertile but also scenically stunning and boasts numerous ruins of the Incas and earlier cultures – which attracts many foreign tourists.
